AEROCAR SERVICE EXPRESSES SYMPATHY TO FAMILY OF LIMOUSINE CHAUFFEUR KILLED IN SEA TO SKY HIGHWAY ACCIDENT

By aerocar · Comments (0)
Sunday, January 29th, 2012

Richmond, B.C (January 29, 2012): Aerocar Service deeply regrets to announce that the recent Sea-to-Sky Highway Motor Vehicle Accident resulted in the death of a chauffeur who was driving one of Aerocar’s limousines.

It is a sad day for Aerocar Service, the family and friends of a dedicated Lower Mainland Chauffeur, as the Vancouver based Ground Transportation Company mourns the loss of Chauffeur Shafiqur Rahman.

Aerocar has been advised that the RCMP are continuing to investigate the accident, which occurred on the Sea to Sky Highway on January 28th 2012 just before midnight, involving a Dodge Truck and one of its limousines. News reports have indicated that the driver of the truck, a 19-year-old from Calgary, is being investigated for impaired driving by drug (The Province). RCMP Sgt. Peter Thiessen said it’s alleged that the northbound Dodge truck crossed the centre line, veered into the southbound lane and hit the limousine.

Mr. Rahman was respected as an excellent and professional chauffeur, who was well liked by his fellow chauffeurs, Aerocar’s staff and all who knew him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, two sons and extended family, friends and colleagues at this difficult time. Aerocar Service will have on-site support for its staff and fellow chauffeurs of Mr. Rahman. We will honor his memory by dedicating ourselves to continue as a leader in the Ground Transportation Industry, an industry that he has dedicated himself to for over ten 10 years.

Mr. Rahman’s fellow chauffeurs have come together and begun fundraising efforts on behalf of the family; donations from the community are being accepted. Aerocar will be establishing a trust fund at the Bank of Montreal. As the accident is still under investigation, Aerocar is working with the RCMP and Mr. Rahman’s family. Out of consideration to the family they have requested no interviews at this time.

Congratulations Canucks for a Great Stanley Cup Playoff Run!

By Aerocar Service · Comments (0)
Monday, June 20th, 2011

On behalf of Aerocar Service, we would like to congratulate our Vancouver Canuck’s for a great 2011 Stanley Cup Playoff Season. We would also like to take a minute to thank the people of Vancouver for their assistance cleaning up our city after the distasteful outcome of a minority in our city. As stated below by Tourism Vancouver, “this is not representative of who we are as a city.” We are proud to live here, and will continue to welcome Visitor’s at the Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to share in the beauty  of Vancouver.

A Message from Tourism Vancouver

The people of Vancouver are both deeply disappointed and saddened by the actions of a minority that caused damage to both property and our reputation after the Stanley Cup finals.  This was an aberration for which there is no excuse.  It is also not representative of who we are as a city.

Today, we pick ourselves up and dust ourselves off to ensure that visitors to Vancouver feel welcomed and safe, and that their experience here is both enjoyable and memorable for all the right reasons.

Tourism Vancouver would like to thank the men and women of the Vancouver Police Department, ambulance and fire services , RCMP, as well as medical personnel, City of Vancouver employees and service providers from surrounding municipalities who worked diligently to restore our city to order.

Aerocar Service Donates Hundreds of Toys/Food to the animals

By Aerocar Service · Comments (1)
Thursday, December 16th, 2010

Another holiday initiative of Aerocar Service, is our fundraising efforts for the animals. Over the past year, with the help of our principals, management and staff, we also managered to purchase hundreds of toys and food for local animals in need. We decided to support a private organization this year, called Loki’s Christmas Wish Fund becuase their story touched our heart. We also sent across some toys to our local SPCA.

Loki’s Christmas Wish initiative was started in memory of Loki, a puppy neglected and abandoned before coming to HugABull. At five months of age, around Christmas 2005, he was adopted by Kristen Neratini and his future looked bright. He excelled at obedience, obtained his Canine Good Neighbour certificate, and Kristen knew she found her “heart dog”. Sadly, only three years later Loki passed away due to health issues. Kristen and her partner decided to mark his too-short life with a donation campaign around the holidays, to help the shelter dogs who don’t find a home around Christmas.  Donations are collected and distributed to all dog breeds – and cats too! More information can be found at

Currently the list of orgaizations benefiting from Loki’s Christmas Wish are as follows

* Bully Buddies
* VOKRA
* Katie’s Place
* Homefinders
* 100 Mile House Animal Shelter
* Chilliwack Animal Control
* HugABull Advocacy & Rescue Society
* Mission Animal Control
* Penticton/Summerland Animal Control

By Aerocar Service · Comments (0)
Thursday, December 16th, 2010

Following the tradition that we set last year, Aerocar Service spent the year of 2010 fundraising in order to again donate to the Pan Pacific Christmas Wish Breakfast. This is only one of the Community Relations Activities that we participated in this year. More posts to follow.

On November 30th 2010, we joined in on the excitement and filled 10 of our Limousines with Toys for the kids in our community. The picture below shows us as we entered the event, with what was called the “largest donation of the year’”. We are confident that the 5000 toys we donated this year will bring well over 5000 smiles to local children and families :) This was our goal for the Holiday Season.
